Philadelphia: A. J. Holman Company / J. B. Lippencott Company, 1973. Signed by the Lunar explorer on the half-title, with Best Wishes, Jim Irwin. First edition / First printing. Black cloth. Fine, with offset from a small piece of tape on the front free end-paper, in a near fine dust jacket with wear to the edges and slight spine fade. Insert brochure "God of Earth and Outer Space a hymn for the space age." laid into the book. One of only 12 men to walk on the moon. He was the 8th person to walk on the Moon on Apollo 15 in July 1971; and the first and youngest to die on August 8, 1991 (age 61). Irwin and Scott's mission collected more Lunar samples than any previous mission, including the Genesis Rock.
