Massively heavy, oversized volume, bound in Imperial octavo hardcover format, and an equally massive, almost epic novel about a young man coming of age; heavy focus on his sexual experiences. A noted novelist and literary critic, Brodkey also died of A.I.D.S. though he never identified as gay or even bisexual. Fine-looking, Near Fine condition, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear but for light crimping to a short range of pages near book's end, bright interior, unmarked, slight smudging to bottom tips. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn. 835 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
