On the half title page is the inscription, "To My friend Pauline, I was so delighted that you and Louise honored me by coming to the signing of this book that has been in the making much (2/3) of the time we've known each other. The book is in Near Fine condition. Then dust jacket is fair with tears and small pieces missing on the backside and top and bottom edges of the spine. This book is about the underground railroad and is written for ages 5 - 7.
