(Series: Works issued by the Hakluyt Society, 2nd ser., no. 138-139). Published for the Hakluyt Society at the University Press, Cambridge [England], 1970, 2 volumes (xxxii, 640 pages) illustrations (some color), maps (some folded). Two volumes in dust jackets. The jacket for Volume I was water stained with some bleeding through on front cover panel -about the size of a quarter- and to the very bottom of the back cover – a narrow strip. Also, on the bottom paper edge of Volume I are signs of staining. All in all, a good copy of the two-volume work. The set: $21.50 Front hall.
Summary: By the early 16th century, the loosely knit kingdom of Georgia had disintegrated from the strong monarchy of the middle ages to a number of small states and principalities.
