An extremely data-rich and interesting volume for those interested in the Russo-German War of 1941-45 (the "Eastern Front" of the European Theater of WWII). Russian units/strengths are treated on maps, in tables, and in descriptive text, but not in OOBs. Author/editor Madeja acknowledges that much of the text in the volume is taken directly from US army and captured German army records, but it is not clear where the line is between Madeja's writing and those records.
