New York, New York, U.S.A.: Cupples & Leon, 1916. First Edition Later Printing . Hardcover. Good-/No Jacket. Groundbreaking series about a young orphan girl who eventually comes to head her own motion picture company in the early decades of the 20th century, laying the groundwork for other children's series featuring strong female leads. Orig. published in 1916, this is Vol. #9 in the series (of 30 books), in 208 pages + 4 pages of ads in rear, glossy frontispiece. Slightly later printing of the First Edition, listing to self in front & to RF #12 in rear. Condition is barely Good: generally clean with light surface soil, corners bumped, both ends of spine heavily frayed. Pages heavily tanned around edges, but unmarked. Rear hinge cracked & spine is cracked at other places, too; a few pages are either very loose or detached though the majority are secure.
