Rome: Typis Polyglottis Vaticanis, 1967. 220 x 143 mm. Very Good. A presentation copy of this guide to the use of sacred music in the liturgy. Tipped onto the title page a Vatican compliments slip from 'Secretarius consillii ad exsequendam constitutionem de sacra liturgia' - the secretary of the counsel for the implementation of the constitution on the sacred Liturgy. Opposite is the bookplate of Prinknash Abbey from whose library this volume was recently deacquisitioned. The pamphlet has been systematically annotated and laid in is a further English guide to music in the liturgy from 1967. A transformation of the role of music in the liturgy was one of many change implemented in the church as a consequence of the Second Vatican Council. Very Good 1967
