Biography of English poet, writer, critic, editor & founder of The English Review (1908) Ford Madox Ford (1898 - 1939), best known for his novel The Good Soldier (1915). Influential in the development of early 20th-century English literature, Ford was with the War Propaganda Bureau before seeing active duty in France with the Welsh Regiment in World War I. Of his some 70 published works, dozens were novels, two of which were written in collaboration with Joseph Conrad (The Inheritors, 1901, and Romance, 1903. Fine copy.
