London: Alexander Moring Ltd, The De La More Press. Very Good. 1904. Hardback. 12mo, green cloth, slightly marked, rough cut pages, gilt lettering, text bright, no previous owner's markings. Persian minature frontispiece, xvii page introduction by Edward Fitzgerald. Salaman wa Absal, a poem in The Haft Aurang of Jami (1414-1492) , was a Greek story, translated into Arabic, by Hunain ibn Ishaq al Ebadi. Jami turned it into a Persian poem in 1480 which became popular in Iran , Turkey and India.; 4 x 6.75"; 69 pages .
