About This Item

A complete run in three issues of the short-lived Swedish avant-garde journal, edited by Ingemar Gustafson, C.O. Hultén, Ilmar Laaban, and Göran Printz-Påhlson, containing poetry, prose, and some original artwork, including original lithographs from Roberto Matta and Anders Österlin. Illustrated throughout. 8vo. Newer illustrated paper boards with leather spine label, original illustrated wrpps. bound in, front cover of first issue partially detached from binding but present, some minor bumping to extremities and edgewear. Malmö (Galerie Colibri) 1955-1956. Ex-libris bookplate for Pera Sjögren affixed to inside front cover. A rare complete run of the important and beautifully produced avant-garde periodical of the 1950's. Contributors to the journal included Marcel Duchamp, e.e. cummings, Göran Printz-Påhlson, Jan Berg, Lasse Söderberg, Gherasim Luca, Ilmar Laaban, James Thrall Soby, Tomas Tranströmer, Paul Eluard, William Empson, Michel Tapié, Roberto Matta, Anders Österlin, Oyvind Fahlstrom, Wilfredo Lam, Corneille Guillaume Beverloo, and others. Scarce institutionally; as of April 2019, WorldCat locates only five holdings in North American institutions.
