First printing of this anthology of the leading lights of the Jazz Age, published to benefit the New York Guild for the Jewish Blind. The New York Guild for the Jewish Blind was founded in 1903 by sculptor and socialite Winifred Holt as a central point for education and aid for the blind of New York City. The Guild published several collections of literature to raise funds for their continued work, including SAMPLES. This volume contains the first book appearance of F. Scott Fitgerald's "The Dance," a jazz age murder mystery, as well as stories by Jazz Age legends Ernest Hemingway, Willa Cather, and John Galsworthy. 8.25'' x 5.5''. Original black cloth binding with yellow lettering. Original unclipped ($2.50) color pictorial dust jacket. Fore-edge machine deckle. x, 406 pages. Jacket with sunning to spine, 1" closed tear on rear panel, verso with a few unobtrusive tape repairs. Binding with light edgewear, mild bumping to spine ends. A clean copy.
