New York: Fleming H. Revelle Company, 1890. 4th edition, eighteenth thousand. Hardcover. pp. xii, 160. 12mo. Publisher's brown cloth binding, with gilt and black decoration and lettering to spine and boards. Illustrated with engravings. Binding is square and tight. Front endpaper repaired at hinge, rear free endpaper replaced. Spot to frontispiece, smudge to title page, a few occasional spots but contents mostly clean and unmarked. A lovely copy. The story of "the fist Native Bishop of Africa, the pathetic incidents of his early life, and the gracious success which has crowned his efforts on the banks of the Niger.
