Satori is an autobiographical saga in which the protagonist goes to France to seek the origins of his surname. Satori is Japanese for "sudden awakening" or simply "kick in the eye." Kerouac's last novel, Pic, set in 1948, is narrated by 10-year-old Pictorial Review Jackson in the dialect of rural North Carolina.. Soft Cover. Very Good.
