London: Published at the Office, Southampton Street, Strand, 1885. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Folio. iv, 852 pages. Hardcover bound in green publisher's cloth with cover designs embossed in blind and spine title in gilt. Light to moderate wear to the binding. Inner hinges secure. Original owner's inscription at the top of the title page, "Dr. G. C. Lippincott U.S.N. / Salem, New Jersey." The text is a little toned but generally quite clean.
