London: The Children's Book Club, 1962. 246 pp.Set in Shropshire Hill country and features Petronella Sterling and David Morton with the other Lone Piners. Endpapers are map "draawn by Harriet Sparrow after her first adventure at Seven Gates." Dustjacket has some edge wear, small tears to head and foot of spine. Looks great in new plastic cover. Green paper on boards binding has some fading to edges, small bumps to corners, clean. No former owner's name. Possibly has had half title page removed. Text is clean, no noticed corner folds.. HC and DJ. Fair - Good/Fair - Good. Illus. by A. R. Whitear. 7 1/2 x 5 1/4.
