San Francisco. J.M. Hutchings and Co. 1862. Bound in blind embossed gilt titled buckram. 8vo. Illustrated throughout with 105 engravings after drawings by Charles Nahl. Staining and sunning to covers. Top 1/2 inch of spine strip lacking. Darkening to right side of rear cover extending to left side of spine strip. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Small private library stamp to copyright page. Small ink number at bottom of contents page. Tiny water staining to upper tip of first 50 pages (nearly innocuous), else a Very Good copy.
