About This Item

Reader’s Digest, Canadian Automobile Association., 1976. First Edition.. Hardcover.. VG+/G+. 12 1/4 H x 9 1/4 W x 1 inch.. An Illustrated Guide To Our Natural Splendours. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior VERY GOOD PLUS/ Covers Fine / Dust Jacket Good Plus. Sewn binding. Coated Paper. Boards and spine are green cloth, lettering gilt in black box with gilt border, front cover plain but with shadow drawing of trees in wilderness, back cover and spine the same. Dust jacket is black, lettering white, colour full size photo front and four colour photos on back. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has a bit of age darkening on edges of flaps, has quite a number of small dots of white where colour has rubbed off the black back cover on back fold line and along bottom and near spine. DJ has minor marks overall from wear and rubbing adjacent book on shelf. DJ Spine has a vertical thin white line vertically on 7/8 of rear fold, dj has small creases at bottom of spine, has a 1/4 and 1/8 inch rip at bottom of rear DJ flap fold. DJ front cover is almost undamaged except for a piece missing on top edge 3/4 inch W x 5/8 inch H. Top of DJ spine has creases showing white on the black and two 1/8 inch rips, top of DJ back has a rip 1/4 inch with paper in place. DJ is in very good shape and if the dots of white and white crease marks were repaired with black ink, it would look very presentable. Book covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, a very small crease on free end of top of spine, otherwise in fine condition. Page edges clean undamaged. Inner end papers are full two-page colour photo of grass. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat, smells great. Book slightly over-opened at page 337, 368 and binding shows a bit at page 352 but is not cracked and no pages are loose or missing. All pages from 337 to 384 are slightly forward of rest of book. Owner’s name, date, ink on title page. Fabulous colour photos on about every page. Colour illustrations, drawings, maps, explanatory boxes. Informative Close Ups, i.e. Thousand Islands: Mountains Became Hills Then Islands. Contents include Atlantic Canada, Forillon to Gatineau, The Great Lakes, The Shield, The Prairies, The Western Mountains, The Pacific Coast, The North, Full Index. Finding the Wonders: Map.

WILLOWBAY BOOKS

THERE IS NO COVID-19 IN MY STORE AND MY SALES ARE ONLINE ONLY. IMPORTANT NOTE RE POSTAGE: I love books and most of my books are NEW or LIKE NEW. I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office. Thanks for your understanding. I will always email you with the date your package was shipped, and shipping method used.

I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through my books, and purchasing from WILLOWBAY BOOKS. Thanks. Ms. Bronwen Kathy Williams, Ontario, Canada.
