Macmillan and Co. Ltd. London.,1896. FIRST SULLIVAN EDITION. 8vo. (7.7 x 5.4 inches). A tall, wide marginned copy. Illustrated throughout with 50 fine full page engraved plates by Sullivan. There is some foxing throughout much the book, mostly to the top third of the pages and fairly light but in some cases darker and over more of the page. Conyemporary half dark brown morocco. Spine with raised bands. Compartments lettered and decorated in gilt. Marbled paper on boards and endpapers. Previous owners bookplate on front pastedown endpaper. Neat previous owners name, dated Xmas '98 on front blank endpaper. Overall a near to very good copy of this beautifully illustrated title.:
