The University of Wisconsin Press, 1938. Hardcover. Good. No DJ. Blue-green boards are clean with the exception of small pen mark and a smudge. Very light wearing to corner tips, spine ends, and edge of spine. Darkening to the spine. Gilt titling still visible. Nice gilt staining to top edge of text block, still bright. One name written at bottom of front paste down. FFE has another name at top, A. Bowdoin Van Riper* dated 1987. Stamp on rear end page. Very clean pages. Crack in glue between page signatures in the center of the book. Binding remains firm. *Van Riper is now a historian who specializes in depictions of science and technology in popular culture. His publications include Rockets and Missiles: The Life Story of a Technology (2007) and A Biographical Encyclopedia of Scientists and Inventors in American Film and Television (Scarecrow, 2011).
