Very good, 1st edition, missing d/j, blue clothbound boards (some sunning on cover, fading on spine), gilt spine titling, text block firm, pages unmarked and crisp (top edge black). Owner's neat inscription ffep.. 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Agnes Mure Mackenzie CBE (1891-1955) was a Scottish historian and writer who wrote a 6-volume history of Scotland. Towards the end of her life she also wrote a 4-volume Scottish Pageant (oif which this was the first) presenting translated excerpts of important documents from Scottish history.
