Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1903. 1st. Hardcover. Very good. Volume One frontispiece illustration: "The Impressment of an American Seaman". Volume Two frontiispiece illustration: "The Chase of the Constitution". Both volumes contain illustrations, maps, and portraits. Rebound in black cloth with spine stamped in gilt and with grey endpapers. Label on cover from the original edition with ship under full sail stamped in gilt. Top edge gilt. Ex library with stamp only on title pages and no exterior markings. The first four pages following the front free endpaper of Volume II are loose, otherwise the page blocks of both volumes are tight.
