About This Item
Born to missionaries in China in 1872 Abbie Lyon Sharman, who published under the pen name Lyon Sharman, was an author of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, and plays. Having moved back to the United States at a young age, she returned to China in 1922 which inspired the publication of The Sea Wall, which she illustrated herself inspired by Chinese art.
This copy of The Sea Wall is inscribed by the author, reading: "For Jack Davidson and Sasha on entering this new life in the country of my first love. Lyon Sharman August 26, 1925."
This copy is in good condition with some cracking and wear to the spine. It has paper covered boards, which are worn in places, including bumped and torn corners on the boards.
