Decorated tan cloth with gilt title to cover and spine in original slipcase with cover plate. Spine sunned. Some staining and discoloration to boards. Upper corners bumped. Staining, discoloration and some rubbing on slipcase. Minor tearing to upper left corner of slipcase. Top edge gilt. Fore-and bottom page edges untrimmed. Frontispiece. Illustrated with 8 reproductions of color plates by Alastair of which one is signed by him (opposite page 38). Introduction by P.G. Konody. Slipcase and binding in good, interior in very good condition.
