Clean and firmly bound, slight lean to spine, slight spine-end touches. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, light corner nicks, stubborn sticker remnant to bottom of rear panel, in new Brodart sleeve. The wartime memoirs of a member of the British Secret Operations Executive F Section who spent 1943 till the end of the war aiding the French Resistance by meeting with agents returning from behind enemy lines, acting as a decoy, passing messages in tea rooms, and picking up codes in crossword puzzles, as part of Churchill's 'secret army'. Appended: SOE Organization, Roll of Honour, SOE F Section circuits in France. Foreword by Paddy Ashdown.
