New end-papers, Title and frontispiece toned with the former showing some offset. Light sporadic foxing, largely confined to margins. Text clean. First edition. The Civil War memoirs of a New York Herald Tribune correspondent. No previous ownership marks. A handsome copy in virtually new cloth covers, interior good+. . First Edition. Hardcover. Near Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
