About This Item

New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1967. First edition of Robert Kennedy's classic fourth book. Octavo, original cloth. Signed by Robert F. Kennedy on the front free endpaper. Near fine in a very good dust jacket with light rubbing. Jacket photograph by Lawrence Fried. Published just months before his assassination, To Seek A Newer World provides the best glimpse of what might have been, had Kennedy assumed the presidency. "The sixties were a turbulent decade, and Robert Kennedy responded to that turbulence with unusual directness and sensitivity. He had evolved from the rigid prosecutor of a decade earlier into a popular leader who combined political realism with social idealism and passion with humor" (Foner & Garraty, 614).
