These original paintings and calligraphy were executed solely for this book and were not to be reproduced elsewhere. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy, bound in an oblong hardcover format, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to cover and spine, moderate fading or mottling of the brown cloth at cover, but neither spine nor rear panel. Some bleed-through from glue at rear paste-down, else bright and unmarked of interior. An unusual format indeed. Each of the 26 black-and-white and full color plates are full-page and then captioned opposite in a fine calligraphy; verso the text page is a black-and-white illustration at right bottom. Unpaginated.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
