Macmillan,, 1929. 8vo., First Edition, with engraved title-vignette, small neat contemporary signature on front paste-down; blue cloth, upper board blocked in blind to an elaborate art deco design BY RICKETTS, backstrip blocked and lettered in gilt, gilt top, plain endpapers, a remarkably bright, fresh, crisp copy. 1500 COPIES WERE PRINTED. THE SEPARATELY PRINTED ERRATUM SLIP, OFTEN MISSING, IS MOUNTED FACING B1. The portrait of the author is by Sargent; the art deco binding by Charles Ricketts. EXTREMELY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
