About This Item
London: Faber & Faber, 1935. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 1935. London. With an introduction by T. S. Eliot. Purple cloth covers are a bit dirty along edges. Minor wear at corners. Gold lettering along the spine remains clear and vivid but cloth is faded to brown. Binding and hinges all are strong and good. No dust jacket but now has a protective mylar cover. Inside, end pages have an owner name in script and small, refined bookplate pasted in. Small Grolier Book Shop sticker on lower edge. Rough page edges as published. Pages clean, except on one poem "Those Various Scalpels" along which a previous owner has marked accents and # of syllables for each line - in pencil. A nice copy overall of a respected mid-20th century poet. Significantly, a woman poet - there were not many published to the degree Moore was.
