About This Item

New York: Harcourt Brace and World - A Harvest Book, 1965. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. Later Printing. 8vo. 194 pp. Trade paperback format. Light rubbing on the corners with a flat uncreased spine and a bit of darkening around the edges; no interior markings. There are too many poems to list them all here, but some of the highlights are, in Cummings' lower case: when god lets my body be; your little voice; ladies and gentlemen, this little girl; notice the convulsed orange inch of moon; my girl's tall with hard long eyes; and many more. Cummings was an American poet, painter, essayist, author, and playwright. He wrote almost three thousand poems, a couple of autobiographical novels, four plays, and a handful of essays. And he is associated with modernist free-form poetry and much of his work has idiosyncratic syntax and uses lower case spellings for poetic expression..
