London: William Pickering, 1842. Bound in contemporary dark brown full calf over bevelled boards, the covers with blind tooled border and elaborate blind tooled central panels, the spine divided into six panels, lettered in gilt the second panel on a lighter brown leather label and the others tooled in gilt with small leaf design, red marbled end papers, red stained edges. Very good, calf lightly rubbed at edges, teo prior owner names 2nd front end page, one dated 1855, the other 1961. Light toning to end pages, internally bright and free of any toning. A handsome copy bound in an old-style with added flourishes. . First Edition. Full Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
