Random House, 1956. Hardcover. Excellent/Very Good. 8x5x1. Bob Riger. Collectible Landmark Cloth Hardback Book with Dust Jacket and Author Letter is in Very Good to Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and clean crisp internal pages. Book appears to be unread. No writing or marks in the book, but there is a small page end bend on page 151. Book also includes the Author Letter which is a "Dear Young Reader" letter from the Author provided to members of the "Young Readers of America" club. Letter shows some outside edge wear to include some darkening and edge chipping. Outside cloth covers are nice with some minor fading and wear. Dust Jacket is in Very Good condition with some soiling primarily to the back cover and some very minor edge chipping primarily to the bottom edge of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
