First printing of the first edition of this controversial medical text in which Japanese bacteriologist Hideyo Noguchi (1876-1928) made the case for and explained how to use his alternative to the Wassermann test. Although he was highly controversial, Noguchi was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine 24 times. The book is in very good condition: clean and tight, with just the beginning of fraying at head of spine.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
