Duxbury: Duxbury Rural and Historical Society, 1973. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. (Duxbury:1973). Half brown cloth and terra cotta boards in dust jacket. Jacket is not price-clipped.144pp. Profusely illustrated with vintage photographs, maps and engravings. There are three folding maps depicting "Old Duxbury Paths", "Duxbury Shipyards", and "Ancient Landmarks". The frontispiece is a facsimile of the 1857 map of Duxbury. This copy is inscribed by the author on the half-title. There is a number, "343", calligraphically written below the author's name on the title page, the significance of which is unknown. Very good in very good jacket with a little wear at the top of the sine and top corners. "She locates the early mills, the country stores, shows the Indian trails turning into roads. She tells curious tales of the early days, describes shipbuilding Duxbury."
