Milwaukee: Evening Wisconsin Co.. Very Good+. 1894. First Edition. Hardcover. "This story is based upon facts taken from an old diary of one of the early settlers on Lake Winnebago." It first appeared in German, and is translated here for the first time. This may have been written (or translated) by Amalia Ruegg, as her name appears on the cover, but not on the title page. Covers are the original brown publisher's cloth with gilt spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no owner names and no bookplates. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 119 pages .
