Hard cover in fine condition with pink boards and illustration on front board with title, author and illustrator names. Front and rear end papers decorated with repeating illustration of a girl and a tree. Text block clean & tight; no writing, no markings noted. Dust jacket very good; tiny closed tear and a chip on bottom of back panel. * From the book front flap, ""....first published in Collier's Magazine in 1908. It was run serially, one picture and poem per issue. In it, Jessie Willcox Smith and Carolyn Wells captured a dream of ideal childhood. The progression of images show children at seven stages from infancy to adulthood.
