Kinsey, considered the first major figure in American Sexology. In 1947 Kinsey had founded the institute for Sex Research at Indiana University, previously known as the Kinsey Institute in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction. First editions of the two titles Kinsey is best known for. Though controversial in its reception his works influenced social and cultural values in the United States and internationally.
