Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc.,, 1962. First Edition Stated . Hard Back. Good/No Jacket. 6" X 9 1/4. 603 pages in five chapters. Terrible Terry's Book, Felix Labaiya's Book, Cullee Hamilton's Book, Hal Fry's book and A Shade of Difference. Cloth boards with silver lettering on black spine labels. Covers have some soiling and fading. Interior is clean with tight pages no marks or stamps. Endpapers have drawings of the characters from the book. Sequel to Advise and Consent for which the author won the 1960 Pulitzer Prize. Author moves from Washington to the United Nations to carry forward the lives and careers of many of the characters in his first novel. Reader meets Senator Seabright Cooley, Secretary of State Orrin Know, President Harley Hudson, Senator Lafe Smith, and many others. There are no statements regarding Book Club Edition but it is possible.
