About This Item
Jonathan Cape, London., 1956. First edition. Octavo. 224 pages. Although the novel is about something called the National Publishing Authority it is in fact a satire on the B.B.C. where the author worked as a producer. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To Robert with best wishes from Robert! August 1956. With thanks for appreciation and criticism of the mss."Very good indeed in very good dustwrapper, designed by Dennis Bailey, a little rubbed at edges.
