Binding of green quarter cloth w/bronze gilt titles, burgundy boards. Book is quite clean with a handsome appearance; it is bumped on the lower front corner, and gently bumped on rear lower corner. Spine heell cloth has a wrinkle, top edge has an indentation about the size of a fingernail impression. Tight, solid, and square binding. Endpapers with a pictorial illustration of an evolutionary scheme. Pages are completely clean and in fine condition. Jacket is glossy gold, bright and clean with wrinkling at front lower corner, spine heel and center top edge. Price-clipped. Carl Sagan (1934-1996) was an American astronomer, astrophysicist, and astrobiologist who has made seminal contributions in planetary atmospheres and surfaces, the history of the Earth, and exobiology.
