Original cobalt blue cloth, blue top edge; in rare price clipped illustrated dust jacket, spine slightly darkened, with minor chipping head and foot of spine, and minor dampstains on spine; name on front free endpaper. Author's first book on the life and training of Elizabethan boy actors. Much of the production was pulped for the war effort, probably less then 500-600 copies survived (according to the author) 1939
