New York: Random House, Inc, 1973. Very good in very good dust jacket.. First edition, first printing of this delightful book of shapes, full of fanciful silhouettes and bold colors. This isn't your average book of shapes - among mundane objects like a balloon, a flower, and a ship, are the silhouettes of mysterious and fantastic creatures such as a BLOGG. The bright backgrounds make the illustrations and text pop. One would expect nothing less from Dr. Seuss. 9'' x 6.5''. Original color pictorial boards. Original unclipped ($2.50) color pictorial dust jacket. Blue, white, and black pictorial endleaves of various silhouettes. Illustrated in color. [14] leaves. Red mark to bottom edge. Tiny ink owner initials to front pastedown. Jacket with some scuffing, a bit of loss to top of spine; light sunning to spine, front panel with removed sticker. Binding with spine ends bumped, color infill to head of spine and rear edge. Colors vibrant.

Theodor Seuss Geisel-aka Dr. Seuss-is, quite simply, one of the most beloved children's book authors of all time.
