About This Item
New York: Dodd, Mead, 1919. First Edition. About fine in a very good dust jacket with very minor chips, stains and tears. Illustrated by Charles Livingston Bull. Shasta is an Indian boy brought up by wolves. The flap copy compares this to the Jungle Book and The Call of the Wild, both of which deserve credit as inspiration, as should the unmentioned Tarzan of the Apes.

A fantastic book for young children that captures the imagination and draws the reader in with imagery and a feeling of belonging.
