Introduction by Hans Hildebrandt. Many photo reproductions of Ted Shawn in costume and dancing. Color frontispiece "abstract psychological portrait of Shawn" by Dreier. Though principally known as a painter and champion of modern art, Dreier wrote this book about the pioneering modern dancer, who later formed his own dance troupe and founded the Jacob's Pillow dance festival. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 81 pages .
