In the publisher's dust jacket, $12.95 retail price on front flap, faint toning to rear panel, a near fine example. Includes a laid-in biography by the publisher, with a signed photograph of Bobbie Ann Mason. Book also signed by the author on the title page. Bobbie Ann Mason (b. 1940) is a novelist, literary critic, and Pulitzer Prize finalist. In Country was her first novel, and was adapted into a film starring Bruce Willis and Emily Lloyd in 1989. Shiloh and Other Stories is a collection of short stories that predates In Country and provided Mason with her first critical acclaim as a writer.
Synopsis
"Bobbie Ann Mason is the author of a number of books, including the short-story collection Zigzagging Down a Wild Trail , the novel In Country , and a memoir, Clear Springs , which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. She lives in Kentucky.
