No date, OCLC gives date of 1828, which corresponds to Thompson's activity as an early Washington bookbinder. 167 pages, with an additional titlepage, engraved. Bound in contemporary full calf, intricate gilt borders to covers, gilt back, marbled end papers and edges. Very Good, calf stained, slight rubbing to edges, moderate toning to end papers, scattered light toning throughout, prior owner name dated 1927 front end page. OCLC locates five institutions with holdings. A SCARCE early American fine binding. . First Dove's English Classics . Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall.
