About This Item

Communications Distribution, Inc, 1987. Booklet (Saddle Stitched). Very Good. Unmarked text. This booklet was an apologia for the Botha government at the height of the resistance repression. Intently argued and presented, it also serves as an example of the kind of publication encouraged by the South African government at the time, revealing the arguments used abroad and in the media. Pieter Willem Botha (1916-2006) served as the last Prime Minister from 1978 to 1984 and the first executive State President from 1984 to 1989. He argued that the preservation of the apartheid government, though unpopular, was crucial to stemming the tide of African Communism. William Allen Rusher (1923-2011) was one of the founders of the American conservative movement and was one of its most prominent spokesmen for thirty years as publisher of National Review magazine, which was edited by William F. Buckley Jr. 38p. Measures 5.5x8.5 inches.
