New York: Harper & Bros, 1884. This is a Very Good copy of the abridged edition of the great Irish historian's famous history. First American Edition, which is uncommon. Maroon cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine (the spine has faded to brown but the gilt lettering is still visible). Clean text; 448 pages, indexed. There is a publisher's advert for the two-volume quarto edition in the front. Rubbed at the head and foot of the spine and mildly bumped. Withal, a sound copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
