Lawrence Joseph was born in Detroit, Michigan; this is his first book. Winner of the 1982 Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize. Wrappered issue, of author's first book. From the library of poet David Ignatow with his label affixed inside front wrapper. Inscribed, and Signed, by Lawrence Joseph, to David Ignatow, in year of publication: "For David Ignatow, 'standing in our Lord's presence for judgment, as I felt myself each day of the week' with much admiration and gratitude, Larry Joseph. May 24, 1983. New York City" (on the half-title page), and Signed again, in full, on the title page. Issue as Pitt Paperback-193.
