About This Item
San Francisco: The Sierra Club, 1950. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. The 1950 re-issue of the first 8 issues of the Sierra Club Bulletin (numbers 1 through 8 = entire volume #1). Exact facsimile reproduction of original issues. Original red buckram with silver lettering spine. The book has some fading to covers and spine, a splotchy drop mark front cover, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding. The early issues of the bulletin became nearly impossible to find after most were destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake fires. 341 numbered pages, several b/w photo plates. This issue is itself somewhat scarce since only 500 copies were produced. The volume measures 242mm tall x 160mm, and has 341 + [6] pages, 34 b/w plates. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
